Religious Teachings
Some families, because of their personal beliefs and values, incorporate religious teachings into their homeschool program, while other families who practice a faith prefer a secular approach
and incorporate religious studies with supplemental materials. Still other families may decide to teach religion at a separate time than during home school hours. Each family will ultimately choose which works best for them.
Non-secular or religious curriculum can be purchased through religious bookstores, online, from catalogs, and at annual home school conventions. Families may want to consider combining curriculum. A parent may choose to teach from a secular math book and classic novels, and incorporated a creationism science program. Religious studies can be combined with any
teaching method.
Several Christian curricula can be found under the
Traditional Model of Teaching.
